Jamaican Me Hungry - Jamaican Me Hungry is located in the heart of the tourist section of Old Town Key West, but it does not behave like a tourist trap restaurant. The food is good, the service is very friendly and laid back, and prices are reasonable. Choose a table on the balcony for a great view of the comings and goings on Front Street below you. There are umbrellas on the tables for shade. Inside is nice too but you can't beat a great view. The whole restaurant is on the second floor of a building on Front Street near where the cruise ships empty their passengers at Mallory Square, but Jamaican Me Hungry doesn't feel overcrowded or run-over by tourists. They often have coupons given out at the door to lure people in.
The Jerk Chicken sandwich is the best deal on the menu. It tastes very fresh and the spice mix is tasty. The fries are good but nothing to rave about. It's the jerk that's good here, as well as the polite and attentive service. |
